Ann Allott

ANN ALLOTT - Managing Partner


Ann Allott possesses considerable experience handling the entire spectrum of immigration and nationality matters, from employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant, to investor cases, labor certifications and family-based cases. She has represented employees and their families from companies in all parts of the United States and many countries.

 

Ms. Allott is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), an association whose membership consists of over 11,000 attorneys who practice immigration law. She is a member of IMMLAW, a national consortium of immigration law firms whose members practice autonomously, but share their knowledge and expertise and exchange ideas and information in emerging areas so their clients can benefit from the most innovative, highly sophisticated techniques.

Ms. Allott has been designated a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2006. In addition she is listed with Best Lawyers© in Colorado. She has been listed as one of Denver's Top Lawyers since 2001 by 5280 magazine. Ms. Allott has received an AV® Preeminent™ 5.0 out of 5 rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings since 1982.

 

In 2009 Ann Allott received the Life Time Achievement Award presented by Archbishop Chaput of Colorado for the Catholic Lawyer's Guide.

 



Kristin Knudson

KRISTIN KNUDSON - Associate Attorney

 

Kristin came to the Allott Immigration Law Firm after two years at a private law firm in Denver. Her practice includes a broad range of employment and family-based immigration cases, as well as visas for victims of crimes and removal defense.

 

Currently, Kristin is the Chair of the U Visa Working Group, which focuses on educating law enforcement agencies, attorneys and the immigrant community about U visas for victims of certain crimes.

 

She is a member of the Pro Bono Mentoring Panel of the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN) for the two-year term from 2012 to 2014, advising volunteers attorneys on pro bono immigration cases.

 

She is also an active member of the Spanish Speaking Lawyers Committee and the Immigration Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

 

Kristin was raised in Colorado and graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was awarded membership in the Order of St. Ives Honorary Society for her scholastic achievement.

LEIGH O'DELL – Associate Attorney
Not licensed in Colorado, licensed only in New York

Leigh was raised in Michigan and is a December 2011 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. She is admitted in New York and her practice is limited to Immigration and Nationality Law. Leigh has interned with the Omaha Immigration Court, the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, the University of Michigan Law School’s Human Trafficking Clinic, and the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. Leigh has lived in Mexico and Spain and is highly proficient in Spanish. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

CINDY CONTI - Senior Immigration Paralegal

Cindy Conti has worked in employment-based immigration for 26 years. Her expertise is in labor certifications, nonimmigrant visa (NIV) and immigrant visa (IV) petitions, and adjustment of status applications.

JEN McCROSKEY – Legal Assistant

Jen is a native of Colorado and earned her Associates Degree from Front Range Community College in 2004. Jen maintains and oversees the day to day functions of the office and works closely with Ann Allott on family based immigration cases. She has over 10 years of office support experience with 4 of those years in a law office.

Before moving to Colorado from California in 1995, Julie worked for a private law firm for five years. For the past eleven years Julie has worked as a director with a local non-profit.

Mily is originally from Argentina, where she graduated from law school.  She will be working on her US law degree at night, and is interested in studying immigration law.  Mily speaks fluent Spanish and English.  She worked in a law firm in Argentina for four years while in university.

Kerry is a native Californian but has loved living in Colorado for the past 16 years. She has over 16 years of experience in accounting in several different business environments. She has responsibility for daily and monthly accounting activities.

Luke Goldsmith has been an intern for Allott Immigration Law Firm for several years. He is currently a sophomore at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Luke is majoring in Political Science and is a current member of the Army ROTC at Creighton.
